Who is Oasis Maine Coons (previously Luxe Kittens)?

We are a woman-owned team: Autumn in Arizona, Kyra in Washington, and Heather in California. Our family farm and cats have been featured in numerous magazine and online articles and has an active presence on social media, stemming from our previous family business, Fox Hollow Farm in Issaquah, WA. Nowadays, our flagship location is in Mesa, Arizona where Autumn raises the babies in the healing Sanctuary of OASIS OF CHI and we also have kittens in Seattle and San Diego.

Transparency and trust are important to us, and we want you to feel fully confident when choosing us as your breeder. We do not utilize a brokerage system, as we all work together as a team to provide glorious kittens to people across the USA.

Question 2

What are your Maine Coons like? What makes them special?

Oasis Maine Coons have many EXTREMELY RARE and highly sought after attributes and genetics. From unusual colors, ghost-eyes, odd-eyes, extreme frill lynx tips (ears tufts), strong muzzles, big paws, huge fluffy tails, to polydactyl paws and toe tufts, our Maine Coons kittens are typically in the 0.5-5% of rarity throughout the entire world! Pure white Maine Coons are pretty rare and occur in only 5-10% of Maine Coon cats. Odd-eyed Maine Coons are even more rare with only 0.5-1% of them having this combination. Many white cats are born deaf but ours have been carefully screened and a white Maine Coon with hearing is actually very rare. Additionally, all of our white kittens will have the BAER hearing test performed before going to their new homes.

Across our locations, you can expect a wide variety of coat colors in our litters, including Brown Tabby, Silver Tabby, Pure White, Black, Gray, Blue, Red, Red & White, Flame Point, Champagne (Buff), Tuxedo, Blue & White, Tortie, Torbie, Silver/Black Shaded, Calico, and Patch Tabby. Many of our kittens also carry the Smoke gene, and we often have polydactyl Maine Coons as well. Recently, we imported new lines from Russia and Poland to begin offering GHOST-EYED Maine Coons and ODD-EYED Maine Coons.

All of our kittens are hand-raised in a loving, family environment. We are committed to producing affectionate, well-socialized cats with exceptional temperaments. Maine Coons from our cattery make wonderful companions for individuals, couples, and families of all sizes. We’ve seen firsthand how they provide comfort and therapeutic support to children and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and various disabilities. Our kittens adapt easily to homes with children, other cats, and even dogs. Both males and females share equally sweet and playful personalities, with the primary difference between the sexes being size.

How do I purchase a kitten? Do you offer payment plans or refunds?

All kittens are listed on our Available Kittens page (see here). Before any payment is sent, you will receive a purchase agreement and our health guarantee. Payment plans are not offered at this time and we require payment in full to reserve your chosen kitten. Priority picking from our litters is given to our Gold Members (explained below). 
Please read through our transportation section in the next section if you are interested in having us bring your kitten to you.

We do not offer refunds, but should you need to postpone bringing home a kitten for any reason, we will honor any money paid and apply it towards a kitten in the future.

We use Zelle and Venmo for payments. We do not accept credit cards at this time.

Question 4

What is a Gold Member? How do I join the waitlist?

GOLD MEMBERSHIP: If you are a serious about getting a kitten from our AZ or WA locations and/or desire a more personalized experience and/or a very specific kitten, we encourage you to become a Gold Member! It grants you the perk of seeing exclusive videos of and picking from litters before they are posted online. There are separate waitlists for the litters in Oklahoma with Asya and in San Diego with Heather and their Maine Coons.
PLEASE NOTE: by signing up as a Gold Member, you agree that you have read our policies and understand that your deposit is non-refundable and you are required to spay/neuter your kitten before 6 months of age.

A $500 down-payment will add you to our list and be applied to the kitten(s) you choose. This deposit will be made after you have filled out our purchase agreement and health guarantee. Gold Member status does not expire, so you may wait as long as you wish and as long as we are still an active cattery. We only allow 30 people to be on our list at one time, and operate in chronological order. Since we have clients who are looking for different kittens, being near the end of the list does not always mean you will be last to choose a kitten.

The Process: Once you join, we create a profile that includes everything you're looking for in a Maine Coon. Sex, coat color/pattern, parents, disposition, and general size are all things we take into consideration when helping you find your perfect companion. When it is your turn to choose a kitten, you will receive a link to the litter page(s), where you can request to see more photos and videos of the available babies. Kittens may go home around 10-11 weeks old after they have seen our vet, started vaccines, and been given a de-worming treatment. The remaining balance will be due within 2 weeks of reserving your kitten (unless a payment plan is in place). You will receive photo/video updates via text roughly every 10 days.

How much is a Maine Coon Kitten?

Pricing for our Maine Coon kittens varies by location and individual traits.

We offer two tiers of pricing, 
Signature Kittens: $4,000-$5,000 
Legacy Kittens: $5,000-$8,000

Rare Maine Coons come from many years of selective breeding with carefully chosen blood lines, imported or foundation breeding cats, and include many years of pairing planning, health testing, and genetic screening. All of our kittens are raised the same way and receive the same high-quality care. Signature Kittens represent the classic beauty and personality that the Maine Coon is revered for. Legacy Kittens posses rare and highly-sought after traits that only occur in a small percentage of kittens and are born in limited numbers. Pricing is determined by several factors, including size, pedigree, coat color rarity, pattern, and other distinguishing physical characteristics.

Question 8

Will my kitten be vaccinated? De-Wormed? Spayed/Neutered?

Our kittens will be seen by our vet for a wellness exam to start vaccinations prior to going home with you. We ask everyone to have a vet appointment scheduled within 3 days of picking up their kitten to confirm their health and continue his/her FVRCP vaccinations. Each kitten is given a de-wormer prior to leaving our home.

We do not spay/neuter any of our Signature Kittens and require that you do so by 6 months of age.  This procedure is highlighted in our purchase agreement. All Legacy kittens will be fixed at 10-12 weeks of age before they go to their new homes.

Question 9

What is covered in your health guarantee?

We invest appropriate time and resources into health screenings, genetic tests, blood tests, and regular vet appointments for our adults to ensure your kitten leaves our home in excellent health.

All of our Kings & Queens have had their blood and DNA tested with double negative results for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and FELV (Feline Leukemia Virus) and other genetic diseases such as PK-Def (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency), PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy - aka heart disease) and Genetic Maine Coon HCM. Their hearts are routinely screened with either ECGs and/or a new and more efficient test called Pro-BNP, which screens for a protein in the blood that is released only when an animals heart is enlarged and/or under stress. This is the most direct and effective way to test for HCM at this time.

It is important to know that there is not only one type of HCM and no current means or method for us or a vet to 100% guarantee that a kitten won't develop HCM later in life. Nature is not perfect which is why we implement all necessary tests and screenings to provide you with peace of mind to the best of our ability. Read more below about what we recommend for healthy diet and supplementation.

Health records for parents are available at your request when choosing a kitten.

In the unfortunate and very rare event in which a genetically determined fatal (or life shortening) medical condition arises within the fist 12 months of life, we will allow you to choose a new kitten from the same location (WA/OK/AZ/CA).

What do you feed your Maine Coons? What litter do you use?

We start all kittens on Royal Canin Mamma and Baby Cat kibble, followed by the Royal Canin Kitten kibble. A great, secondary option for kitten kibble is from Orijen. As your kitten grows, we suggest their diet consists of any of the following foods listed below. Treats and snacks like dried fish, freeze dried quail eggs, and organs like hearts are an amazing bonus, too!

After 10-12 months of age, your kitten is ready to be introduced to adult kibble & freeze dried foods (the wet foods can be fed immediately upon bringing him/her home since we dominantly use 1-3 ingredient canned food). Take time to experiment with flavors and textures to see what your cat prefers. New foods & tastes keep things fresh and exciting and prevent food boredom. You can also incorporate slow feeding mats for dry or wet food.
Maine Coons REQUIRE 30% protein content in their diet. This will nourish their growing bodies and help them mature into their full size potential. Wet food is crucial for hydration and necessary at least once a day.
We do our best to stay away from excess additives, byproducts, meals, and other fillers that long term can be unhealthy for our cats and affect their growth, coats, skin, and health in a negative way. We encourage you to stay away from brands like: Friskies, Fancy Feast, MeowMix, Whiskas, Temptations, and Greenies.
Malnutrition and GI/Skin issues are at risk when using these brands.

For litter, we have tried almost every brand out there but we 100% love Purina Tidy Cats Litter Pellets, BREEZE (comes with its own box & tray system, and for sand litter, we love Dr. Elsey's Ultra Litter (which works efficiently with a litter robot). Both are used by our cats and kittens.

Question 11

How big will my Maine Coon get?

We have a great idea of how a kitten will turn out based on past litters, but we cannot know with 100% certainty how a kitten will look and weigh by three to four years of age when a Maine Coon has reached its full-grown size.

The end size/weight will partially rely on what your Maine Coon is fed throughout its life, the type of exercise it receives, and keep in mind that spayed/neutered cats will typically grow larger. Our females standardly grow to be 11-16 pounds and the males 16-25 pounds. 
We encourage everyone to not be too fixated on the numbered weight of their cat, as the personality and companionship is what truly makes this breed amazing (being large is a great bonus!).

What is your cattery like? What happens to retired adults? How often do you breed your Queens?

Our Maine Coons are raised in our homes, where their comfort and enrichment are top priorities. We've thoughtfully designed our living spaces with custom wall furniture, oversized cat trees, exercise wheels, and interactive play structures. After all, it's their home; we just happen to live in it!

Each queen has her own private nesting and birthing area, providing a calm, quiet environment to ensure a stress-free labor. We're often present during deliveries to offer gentle support, whether it’s through soothing words, affectionate head rubs, or simply being there to provide reassurance.
Our breeding females typically have 1-2 litters per year and retire around the age of 5 or 6. Upon retirement, they either join a loving forever home or remain with us, our family members, or close friends, ensuring they continue to receive the care and affection they deserve.

Can I visit your home?

To protect the mothers from added stress, we do not allow the general public to visit our homes. Exceptions may occasionally be made for committed people/families who are ready to adopt the same day and after a deposit has been made.

We are happy to FaceTime and send over multiple videos prior to you choosing your kitten. We understand weariness with the rise in scammers lately so we want you to feel comfortable and safe with us.

Do you offer breeding rights?

At this time, we do not offer breeding rights. All kittens must be spayed or neutered by 6 months and/or will be spayed/neutered before leaving us.
